Telling Your Story, a free RPD pre-conference training

Are you comfortable describing your organization's work in the time span of an elevator ride? The Western Slope RPD conference is a unique chance to meet one-on-one with potential grant funders and partner organizations in a relaxed, rural setting. Are you prepared to maximize that opportunity?

This spring, instructors from the Anschutz Family Foundation, The Colorado Trust and the Community Resource Center will host 6 interactive workshops focused on helping your organization Tell Your Story for maximum impact. Effective grant research strategies will be reviewed. Then, you will learn how to present your story in a way that will help funders more clearly understand the issues that your are addressing, the solutions you are proposing and the funding needed to achieve successful outcomes. After working through a series of writing exercises designed to help you think like a potential grantmaker, you will gain confidence or refresh your skills by making your pitch to your peers.  We will also provide tips and tricks on navigating the Western Slope RPD conference.

Attendance is required for all registered grantseekers who have not attended a previous RPD conference. If you have attended a past RPD conference, participation is still encouraged.
